A couple tough passages have been clarified

Thanks to the efforts of a few diligent souls, a couple of the passages in the Book of Mormon that many of us have struggled with have had their punctuation slightly reworked in a way to bring clarity to the confusion. Here are the passages, given first as in the LDS scriptures and then as they will be punctuated in ours (note the changes in red and in yellow highlighting):

Alma 36:9
And he said unto me: If thou wilt of thyself be destroyed, seek no more to destroy the church of God.

Alma 17:2
And he said unto me, If thou wilt of thyself, be destroyed; seek no more to destroy the church of God.

Alma 36:11

...for when I heard the words — If thou wilt be destroyed of thyself, seek no more to destroy the church of God —

Alma 17:3

... for when I heard the words — If thou wilt, be destroyed of thyself; seek no more to destroy the church of God —

Ether 12: 7-9
7 For it was by faith that Christ showed himself unto our fathers, after he had risen from the dead; and he showed not himself unto them until after they had faith in him; wherefore, it must needs be that some had faith in him, for he showed himself not unto the world.
8 But because of the faith of men he has shown himself unto the world, and glorified the name of the Father, and prepared a way that thereby others might be partakers of the heavenly gift, that they might hope for those things which they have not seen.
9 Wherefore, ye may also have hope, and be partakers of the gift, if ye will but have faith.

Ether 5:2
